The Animal Welfare Science Hub is a website, initially set up by the E.U. FP7 project interested,
which hosts and shares animal welfare information worldwide to stakeholders and parties,
allowing them to use and add to animal welfare knowledge in a network of excellence.
The Hub provides users with an interactive and innovative knowledge environment that can be
personalized according to the user’s preferences. The Hub consists of two sections:
Would you like to find out (more) about a particular issue in animal welfare? Are you interested in studying specific animal welfare topics or finding educational materials for your students or your employees? In the Education section, Hub users can share learning materials and obtain easy-access to animal welfare content and resources that are scientifically valid, educationally effective and user-friendly. By accessing a customizable list of courses (both online and on-campus) that are being offered across the globe, Hub users will be able to locate the courses that suit them most.
When discussing animal welfare issues, networking through the Hub facilitates easy exchange of information and experiences among all Hub users. In the Interactive section, you can discuss animal welfare issues with specialists and also engage in discussion forums with Hub users. You may also engage in educational 3D scenarios in our Virtual School or give a talk on an animal welfare topic that you find important to raise. Webinars are available for your participation. You may also upload and hold debates on particular animal welfare issues here.
